Limited edition prints, also known as LE’s, have been standard in printmaking since the nineteenth century. Today limited edition art prints can be found in sizes from 2 to 2500. Given today’s art market, smaller art print editions are more common, as it is assumed the lower the number in the art edition, the more valuable and collectible the limited editions are likely to be. This Edition has a total of 249. The publisher, Mark Lewis has control of the production and monitoring of the edition. Which prints that have been sold and what is remaining in the Edition is part of that monitoring process. Each Limited Edition art print is hand-signed and numbered by the artist e.g. 18/249

Limited Edition art prints are carefully produced directly from the original artwork painting and printed under the artist’s supervision. In addition to the 249 in this edition there are 7 Artist Proofs commonly referred to as AP’s and noted e.g. A.P. 2/7 When this Edition is sold out, the production file and all proofing files for that print are destroyed to ensure the integrity of the edition.
ABOUT MARK LEWIS ART
Lewis is a living descendant of Denton Cy Young the legendary baseball player and Baseball Hall Of Fame recipient for which the Cy Young pitching award was created. Marks’ career path has certainly been an eventful one. After serving honorably in the United States Navy Lewis then delved into the performing arts. He spent years as a successful actor, appearing in numerous movies and television programs. Ultimately turning his focus to painting, Lewis brought his expansive life adventures, raw talent and inspiration to the canvas. Lewis instills an immense beauty and creativity in the work that flows from his palette. He achieves that rare feat among artists of creating an unspoken dialog between artist and viewer in his artwork. Lewis’ paintings, art prints, collectibles and mugs have been exhibited in numerous galleries throughout the U.S.
